My 12 year old who is not much into farming liked it enough he used his own money to buy FS15 for his xbox360. With this version we can also connect to each others farms and help each other. Both of my kids, 9 & 12, have it and I do as well. There are some $.99 unlocks for larger equipment. Church cancelled due to weather, and he is scurrying around getting his in the house chores done so he go outside to HIS workbench and use his new wonder bar! Got one yesterday from a cousin in gift exchange. This is the kid who wanted a crowbar for Christmas. I agree, that's why we're not big on games. The $5, FS 16, option for tablet is very fun, but is also really limited compared to the PC version. Then he had mods on it that he downloaded so he had some older equipment like a 1256 tractor. His cab view from his red combine had every button and detail that my real one does. All the equipment is modern and realistic. I had a kid showing me his farm on farm sim and what they could do to make things realistic was really neat. That game is extremely popular with Jr high/ high school age kids. Would like for it to just be on their tablets if it functions as well. I did a search on Google play store, and that is an option for $5. We don't have and probably won't ever have a gaming system. Looks like it would be fun for my 9 year old (since the real thing is on hold for winter! ). Saw ad on back of kids National Geographic magazine.
